X.4305 To EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} from "S/TMW. HS {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /TMW1/LG24.12.20 EXPERIMENTAL CAR FOR HOLIDAYS. With reference to your application for an Expl: Car for Christmas Holidays. We are handing 2.EX over to you. X.4050 This Car has recently been fitted with a complete set of Dunlop straight-sided tyres (in an experimental state) which they claim are quiet and good non-skid. X.2474 Having regard to the fact that you have recently complained of our Klaxon horn, we have fitted an Appollo horn on this car. X.4305 With reference to your recent letter of bad starting up of R.R. cars in cold weather, we have fitted a device which we think promises well. This of course, is only in a very early stage and is intended to include a hot-spot exhaust on the scheme. We should be glad of a report from you as to the behaviour of these items particularly.
