| To Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} XXXXXXXXXXX Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}8/KT.4.12.33. CLUTCH OFF BENTLEY TRIALS CAR. Will you please let us have the history of the clutch you handed to us for inspection this morning. We want to know whether this clutch has been roasted to stop it from slipping, has slipped because of the pedal being against the boards, or has been roasted unnecessarily because slipping in the first instance was presumed to be caused by oil on the clutch.
