To HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} H9840 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/M4.6.24. RE. 10,000 MILES TEST CARS. X.9941 X.9840 With reference to test car 98-NK, on which you have reported in your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG25.5.24., we have considered this matter and have come to the conclusion that it is very difficult for us to say anything to Messrs. Barkers about the failures enumerated, because they all occur on parts of the body which might be affected by the mounting, for example, wing stay bolts, and bolts attaching the wing to the running-board. However, we do not think it would be of use to have this car refitted before its next run, provided that already the body has not rattled to pieces. We are therefore communicating with Messrs. Barkers. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
