X9840 (handwritten) To DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}7/LG27.5.24. RE. 10,000 MILES TEST CARS. X9840 (handwritten, crossed out) X9941 (handwritten) One of the cars we are sending back to France will be 98-NK. This is the car upon which you have received a report in connection with the coachwork. We have had to patch the wings in all directions in order to make it satisfactory to be sent out again. MV DEVELOPMENT (faint watermark) For this car to be any use for a Coachwork Test, new front wings ought to be fitted and also new tyre brackets. We should like you to get to know whether Messrs. Barkers would like to fit new wings and brackets to this car. We could only loan the car for two or three days in order for them to carry out the work. The car is finished in coach-works grey.
