re FRAME SUSPENSION & TRANSMISSION LAYOUT. MYTH.

On PL.363 we show a quarter-scale layout of the frame, transmission, rear springs and wheel movements of the Myth when fitted with the M.40 power unit.

The side channels of the frame are dimensioned completely and will be adhered to. The front end can be lengthened and formed to suit the requirements of the front roll rod and the bumper brackets. A suitable cross member will be designed. The rear horns of the frame can be extended in any way the coachwork section may require to suit their bumper brackets and body mounting. We would like early particulars of this to enable us to bottle up the frame side channels.

The wheels shown are for 16" rims and 5" section tyres, and the car is drawn on even keel 3/4" before full load.

The rear axle is the Salisbury Myth with 1 1/4" hypoid.

Complete designs will be produced for all cross members and frame gussets, showing the method of fabrication and fixing.

On PL.364 we shew the Myth car equipped with the EM.40 engine. There is no change in the wheelbase, dash position, or frame in any way, neither is the transmission altered or the position of the gearbox and clutch bell housing rear face.
