Experimental Department,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Robotham,

A great friend of mine, Mr. R.M. Grant, has just ordered a Bentley from Messrs. Park, Ward, and I understand the chassis No. is B 150 DG. I should be most awfully grateful if you would be so kind as to keep an eye on this chassis, which I understand is due for delivery in February.

Major Broun Lindsay, another friend of mine, has also ordered a Bentley from Park, Ward. He gets delivery at the end of this week. He was very lucky in being able to get somebody else's Bentley who had decided on a Rolls-Royce instead.

I hear also that Mr. Summers has ordered a new Bentley - I believe from a firm in Newcastle. We did our best for him at Park, Wards, but I suppose he must have got a better offer elsewhere, although how he did it beats me!

I wonder if you have had any report yet with reference to the new test tyres we sent to France for you? I should be very interested to hear.

I do not think I shall be at Derby before Christmas, unless you or Mr. Royce would like to see me, in which case, of course, I should be very pleased to come. Perhaps you would let me know about this?

Yours sincerely,

Rothes.
