TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M13.12.23. FOUR WHEEL BRAKES. X9940 Referring to your HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/LG101223, re loss in the brake transmission, would you tell us whether the 'servo' connecting lever on the pressure distributor was locked to the rest of the gear and revolved with it, or was it simply locked in space, causing the remainder of the gear to work through a considerable angle. In the former case friction losses are very surprising, but in the latter case there will be friction losses in the gear which possibly accounts for your low figures.
