In regard to the steering ratio of worm and nut we should use, since we have had so many combinations I wired to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} as to which type he suggested we should use. He has replied as follows:- "Regarding steering do not think we can recommend any lead "until we have some experimental results. Stop. 720 we are "expecting to give what we want but fear may be too "irreversible. Day." From the foregoing it will be obvious that we cannot instruct the Works at the moment to definitely cut either type. The parts should be produced up to a certain stage, that is, just short of cutting the thread on the worm and nut, but that is as far as we can go at the moment. BY.{R.W.
