(X411) BY c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. C. c. JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}11/H17.4 30. re. PHANTOM II. SIDE BRAKE LEVER" GAP". On finished cars this has been complained of, causing cold draughts on to the driver. Mr. Fairey complained about it. Some Coachbuilders ( Thrupp & Maberly) cover over by telescopic leather cover through which lever passes. It is considered that some cover should be fixed over the quadrant as part of the chassis. In the meantime, will C. arrange that all Coachbuilders carry out a scheme as now done by Thrupp & Maberly. This is rather ugly, but it answers the purpose. Can he also arrange that such a scheme as applied to Mr. Fairey's car, 34-GN. We understand the car will be at Messrs. Park Wards on the 23rd. inst. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} | ||
