To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} 4462 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/KW.15.4.35. Tyre Noise. We must tackle the question of tyre noise seriously. Indias are wanting to go over into full production with the new tyres such as the ones we fitted to Bentley's car. We want a careful comparative test of noise carried out on this tyre. We also want to demonstrate to Dunlops the groaning of their '90' tyre at low speeds, and to convince ourselves that it is worse than the tyres we have been having. Will you please deal with this matter. The India representative will be in our neighbourhood on the 24th, and should be able to tell us something.
