HEAD OFFICE AND FACTORY: INCHINNAN, RENFREWSHIRE INDIA TYRE & RUBBER COMPANY LTD. MILEAGE DEPARTMENT (AREA "B") 80 CLAPHAM ROAD LONDON, S.W.9 OUR REF. R/WBT. YOUR REF. TELEPHONES: RELIANCE 2662/3 13th April, 1935. W.A. ROBOTHAM, ESQ., Experimental Department, Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Robotham, Many thanks for your letter of April 12th. I will call and see you on Wednesday, April 24th. I am very sorry that I shall not have the opportunity of seeing Mr. Royce at the same time, but as the point I wished to raise with him was rather urgent, I have taken the liberty of writing him fully, and I am afraid it is a very long letter. Unfortunately, it is not possible for me to come to Derby during the week of April 29th -May 3rd. We are most anxious to know your opinion of the "latest" type tyre, of which we recently sent you two sets for trial. We ourselves, as you know, think this is an improvement on the original type, and should like your permission, in due course, to substitute this "latest" type as Original Equipment on the Bentley in place of the old type. This change-over in production, in the event of our obtaining your permission to carry this out, always takes a little time, and we should appreciate very much your early decision. Much looking forward to seeing you on the 24th. Yours sincerely, Rothes- | ||
