Quarterly Complaints.

-4-

6. Exhaust Pipe Bracket Failures.
Apparently there is a stronger design which is used for curing complaints but this has not been adopted on production. Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} will look into this and put right.

7. Engine Gears Noisy and Rattle.
This apparently is looked upon as rather a bad job and Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} will go into the matter carefully with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} and see whether we cannot bring in new designs or any ideas which will enable this complaint to be dealt with more permanently than is the case at present.

8. Hydraulic Shock Absorbers.
The same remarks apply as to the 40/50 h.p.

9. Rear Axle Thrust.
This part has been re-designed some considerable time ago, so that we can expect a diminishing quantity of cars suffering from this complaint.

10. Servo Jaggers & Brake Thuds.
The same remarks apply as to the 40/50 h.p.

11. Starter Motor Failures.
Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} will see about incorporating the latest design so as to cure this trouble permanently.

12. Steering Jaggers & Wobbles.
The same remarks apply as to the 40/50 h.p. viz. we cannot quite understand why these should occur at "W".

13. Broken Front Springs.
This matter has been cured and we look forward to a reducing quantity.

14. Tappets Noisy.
The same remarks apply

It was agreed that in future discussions in connection with these complaints it would be of great use for Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} to attend, as Cricklewood apparently deal with such a large proportion of these complaints.
