DRIVING VISIBILITY - BENTLEY 111 and BENTLEY 50.

We send herewith PD.172 which shows the forward driving visibility of Bentley 11, Bentley 111 and Bentley 50.

It will be seen that though Bentley 111 and Bentley 50 are slightly better than Bentley 11 as far as the straight ahead visibility over the radiator is concerned, and that all the cars are well within the Ministry of Transport's requirements.

The wider back end of the bonnet of Bentley 111 and Bentley 50 will somewhat widen the visibility curve in plan, but it will not cause it to exceed the Ministry's requirements, as the chief source of trouble in this direction is the waste moulding and screen base.

It was agreed at the Conference in Derby on Tuesday last, 10th inst. that visibility of the nearside wing was not achieved on our existing standard products.

We do wish, however, to recover the lost visibility resulting from the 1¼" return sweep on the scuttle at the base of the screen, provided solely for the purpose of housing the electric screen wiper spindles.
