HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} 36D Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Lesl/R.8.4.37. 33-EX. We are anxious to get a set of Gordon Armstrong dampers running on the above car. In order to facilitate the front fixing, it would be a great advantage to fit the raised front engine mounting as on 32-EX. This leaves the present engine foot bolting free for the damper anchorage. The best position for the rear dampers is behind the rear axle, so that the anti-roll rod can be fitted to the damper arm similar to Wraith, thus deleting one pair of levers and connecting tubes. We need rod control for the rear dampers only. The Arens controls now fitted are not sufficiently free. Agree to this provided car is out of Shop on April 28th (signed) Eg.
