SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} OY. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} +7410 R4/M2.3.29. PHANTOM - RE. SPRING GAITERS. X.7410 X.3745 X.3806 I have not sufficient practical experience to say much about Mr. Olley's suggested modification to the above, but we have great hope in the scheme suggested by DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}, which we have in hand, of lubricating the ends of the plate directly under the top plate direct from the central oiling. Also generally the central oiling is doing good work to improve the condition of these parts; after long and severe service our SS.{S. Smith} 18-EX at 14,000 miles on the rough dirty roads shews great improvement over our old practice. r.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
