CHASSIS B.101-KU.

With reference to your memo Lp.{Mr Lappin}6/WT.12.8.39 concerning the steering of the above chassis, we are afraid that we cannot be of much assistance.

We have no recommendable cure for the amount of joggle which occurs on the standard B.II, and if the car is in standard condition there is nothing we can do.

If, however, the opportunity arises we would suggest that the car should be sent to the Works to have the usual points checked such as tyre balance and concentricity, cross steering tube friction, and correct functioning of shock dampers and ride control unit.

Is it possible that the complaint is either brake judder, or tramp which of course, only occur when the brakes are applied ?

If the car does come to the Works we would suggest that you should let us know so that we can take an interest in the job.
