My own experience also is that rather a thick oil should be used, whereas the expression of "engine oil" in the Instructions might cause them to use a very thin oil, if they were using such thin oil in their engine. The information here mentioned would not take long to obtain, and I think it might be worth while keeping the Binding of the Instruction Book back, until you can do so.
