TELEGRAMS: KINSMANCO STIRCHLEY. KINSMAN LIMITED ENGINEERS BOND STREET STIRCHLEY BIRMINGHAM Messrs Rolls Royce Ltd Derby. Nov 8th 1933 Dear Sirs, Your Order 48921 Kinsman Type Pumps. We are in receipt of your letter of the 7th inst ref--Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/CGS.21/WE and regret the delay in delivery of the twentyfive pumps but they will be ready for despatch today. The delay is due to the chromium plating of the Barrels and mahogany polishing of the Handles, which we thought you would wish to have done. Will you kindly examine these pumps as regards general appearance, letting us have your comments before we send the sample intended to cover all the suggestions you have been good enough to make. We are of opinion that the Handle of darker colour does not seem perhaps to have the objections described in your letter the 23rd ult,. We have been trying out various modifications since we received your criticism and so far we find that each reduces comfort or convenience in use. Yours faithfully KINSMAN LIMITED; H.W. Chapman, Director. Handwritten notes: Top right: x2 993 Across top right: LID{A. J. Lidsey} Bottom left: HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/LID{A. J. Lidsey}, Please note.
