x361 L.E.S. Please discuss with me. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} BY/Cgh.{W Clough}13/W.16.9.36. "Phantom III" Chassis for Major Delap for Kenya. The Works are building a "Phantom III" chassis to be supplied to the above customer who will take it out to Kenya, and he is anxious that the springing and damping should be the best we know of for fast driving on the bad roads in that country. We are arranging to fit heavier poundage springs in order to reduce the tendency for the car to dome down on the bumpers, but would like you to let us have your recommendations as to what you consider to be the best settings for the hydraulic shock dampers for the above conditions.
