When in July BJ. drove 46-PK with a Works mechanic beside him, his impression was as regards engine vibration, that it was rougher than the standard 40/50 HP. - in fact about the same as a high compression 40/50 when picking up, but it was smooth and silent at high speed. There was nothing in your memo. Hsl/LG4.7.24 which indicated - as you now indicate - that you wished to make it quite clear to them that if they considered the vibrations were excessive, they should make a complaint at once. BJ. thought he had made it abundently clear to the mechanic that the vibrations were considered to be impossibly excessive but no great attention was paid to this engine as it was understood that it did not represent the final EAC.11. design.
