Referring to minute 2 of 23/7/20 the question of the solicitors' letters to customers re the above was again raised and the conference drew up types of letters which they thought suitable to be sent to customers who have cars which are bedevilled, either dangerously or non-dangerously. Copies of these letters have been sent to CJ. for his approval. (2) OBSOLETE STORES AND SCRAP. Referring to minute 3 of 23/7/20, the conference were of the opinion that there should be only three stores in the Works - (a) for production purposes, (b) for repair purposes, (c) for experimental purposes, and that any other material which the above stores could not make use of should be sent to what the conference termed 'the Stores Clearing House.' It was the opinion of the conference that a report on any material which has been in any of the above stores and has not been made use of for six months, should be sent to the Stores Clearing House, and also that any material becoming obsolete, owing to improved design, should be sent to the Stores Clearing House, and the latter should report to Drawing Office every Monday morning.
