For the attention of F.J. Hardy Esq. Your Assembly FW.911. Our Bearing No.N.2790. Dear Sirs, [Struck through] Referring to the conversation our Technical Manager, Mr. C.H. Smith, had with Mr. Hardy on 25th March, we thank him for his agreeing to accept approximately thirty of these assemblies which, due to an error in grinding will be + .005" on the track diameters. The actual number of these it is expected will be twenty-nine. It was arranged that a label should be attached to each assembly stating that it has oversize tracks, but we regret to say four sets were despatched last night without the labels. We trust that you will be able to trace these, and apologise for any inconvenience that may have arisen from these circumstances. Yours faithfully, THE HOFFMANN MANUFACTURING COMPANY LIMITED. | ||
