We are constantly testing different makes of plugs in order to try and obtain a plug which is better than the present Lodge C.9 which we are using. On the whole, however, considering the thousands of these plugs which we have used, the present Lodge plug has given reasonably good service. We have had several instances of sets of these plugs running 8,000 to 10,000 miles without being touched. We realise they have faults and have, from time to time, pointed these faults out tothe Lodge Sparking Plug Company, explaining to them that we need something better and if they cannot supply it we shall go elsewhere. It is surprising the number of unsuitable plugs there are on the market and even though we happen to get a few to work satisfactorily, we think it is very necessary to be very careful in our choice to be certain that when we receive them in thousands they will still retain the quality. We have got the Sales Dept. and Mr. Johnson to agree that in the case of sparking plugs and batteries, we can use two sources of supply at the same time so that Contd. | ||
