we can despatch cars - some with one make and some with another;
the same with the battery. We think this will help us to
obtain the best possible parts. It means that we shall have a
competition between two suppliers and that we shall obtain the
experience of thousands of plugs over thousands of miles to
help us to arrive at which is the best.

X.3905. The America Champion Sparking Plugs we find
are quite good. They have solely porcelain insulators. The
porcelain used on the Champion plug is more reliable than the
average. The appearance of the plug does not impress one
but actually in practice we have found no faults. Mr. Olley
in his Oy6/G23.8.20, asks that they might have permission to
use these plugs for repair work and for R.R. cars produced
in America. The Champion plugs have been used successfully
at the new York Service Station for several years. We
recommend that the Champion plugs are used in America and
we should like to hear from them how they consider the pres-
ent Lodge plug compares with the Champion plug under their
conditions.
