S E C R E T . DRIVING SEAT POSITIONS E.A.C.VIII. We send you herewith N.Sch.2139. shewing the revised seating positions of the driver on E.A.C.VIII. It is N.Sch.2070 with such modifications which have been sent to you either by drawing or by letter. The seating positions are all like those on N.Sch 2070. whilst the dash and steering box are those given on N.Sch.2107. The side lever mechanism has not been altered except by the reduction of the stroke of the hand brake lever by .500 ins. as we have previously instructed you by memo. The brake pedals are those sent to you on N.Sch.2070, and the accel. pedals are those on N.Sch.2073. On N.Sch.2139. we shew at the centre of the plate a travel of 3.800. when new and 4.600 when worn.(giving at the clutch plate .078 & .094. respectively) for all steerings. This is what we have at present on the"B" Type Phantom. In order to get this travel it will be necessary to allow the pedal stem to approach and if badly driven to touch the clutch casing.
