X8797 a EFC c By c Vd from Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}17/T1.12.26 X8797. WATFORD MAGNETO WITH THICKER ARMATURE COVER PLATE. NO. 89456 EFC3/T29.11.26 and EFC3/T1.12.26. We have tested out this magneto, and our conclusions are that it does not represent anything better than the average magneto which we are at present using. It has a very definite sleeve knock which can be damped out by holding the drive shaft. There is more than the usual amount of vibration from it which is transmitted to the control mechanism. We were unable to damp this out. Very definitely I should say, it is not comparable with the special magneto which we tested last week. The magneto [strikethrough]with the thicker cover plate[/strikethrough] is returned to you herewith. Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} [Signature] | ||
