ORIGINAL TO BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} SECRET. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/M11.4.24. Copy to - OC. RG.{Mr Rowledge} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C. re.BRAKE OPERATING SYSTEM. M.DES. 60. +9940 In view of our experiences of the car with the agreed scheme of braking on Tuesday last we think we should be prepared to find that a greater leverage is required between the pedal and the brakes than the existing 40/50., and we suggest that we should have a multiplying lever as shewn on Nscheme 1783. but with proportions enabling us to vary this leverage with a view to ascertaining the best compromise between pedal pressure and the allowance for wear. We send N.scheme 1787. herewith. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
