M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Wilks, Esq.,
The Rover Company Ltd.,
New Meteor Works,
COVENTRY.

Dear Wilks,

We appear to have missed one another with remarkable consistency on the telephone to-day.

I wanted to ask you whether the lock you showed us the other day was really in a fit state to be put on a car. I have got Wilmot-Breeden to make me three sets, but somebody told me that you could not slam the door with the lock in its present state. If this is really so, I would like to wait a little while until the development is completed.

Yours sincerely,
