RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 1/04 CONFIDENTIAL. 18th. November 1938. BY.5/N. Messrs. Park Ward & Co. Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, London N.W.10. Dear Sir, Re: 9.B.5. We confirm our remarks to you over the telephone this morning, concerning the delivery of chassis 9.B.5. to your Works by lorry today. We have arranged for the lorry driver to arrive at your Works not before 5.30 p.m. so that the unloading may be done when nobody that matters may be on your premises. Will you confirm that the chassis will be kept in a locked space, and that during its presence in your Works, no unauthorised person will be allowed access to it. We understand that the mounting of the body on the chassis will take place on Tuesday next, when Mr. Dodd and Mr. Evernden will pay you a visit. In connection with the mounting, we would like to point out that it is essential that the body should be got down on the chassis, so that the height of the scuttle at the front end is to drawing. The body should not be mounted above the correct position, in order to clear fouls. We understand that all the necessary accessories such as lamps, bumpers, heaters etc., have been provided, with the exception of the Ferranti wireless and controls, and the twin stop and tail lamps. The former will be despatched to you almost immediately, but there may be some delay in the latter's arrival as we are having to make them ourselves, and are waiting your drawing of the shape of the rear wing.
