-2-2 opposite the end of the rear springs, but it is possible this might be merely a guide with the cable running the whole length and some means of adjustment on first assembly provided. "N" Scheme 138 shews the full-size scheme of the brake pedal, differential shafts, and adjustment. "N" Scheme 146 shews the suggested clutch pedal and shaft. "N" Scheme 152 shews the levers on the back axle, and in a small view, the supporting levers on the front cross member. With reference to the levers on the back axle we understood that it was desired not to make quite such an elaborate arrangement as that on the 40/50 axle, and consequently one which would not be quite so easy to operate. Also the centres of the shafts being considerably closer do not leave much room for serrated couplings. The suggestion is that this adjustment might be done about three times and that the intermediate adjustment would be obtained by the hand gear at the other end of the operating gear. With reference to "N" Scheme 138 an adjustment for the foot brake by means of a weighted nut is shewn as giving a simple lock, but in the event of this not being desired an alternative is suggested similar to that on "N" Scheme 247. As we thought you might not like the concentric arrangement of differential gear, we prepared another scheme "N" 247 which shews the differential shafts arranged on either side of the torque sphere. Also in this case we have changed | ||
