WHEELCASE & FITTINGS LOP.H.83692.

The supply of oil as previously reported to the water pump drive and dynamo drive is in excess. There has been a slight leak from the water pump drive housing also from the dynamo drive.

IGNITION PLUGS. KLG.808.

Battery ignition.

The plug electrodes have burnt the gaps increasing from .020" to .026". The points do not show any sign of preignition having taken place, and have been free from misfires.

Magneto ignition.

The plug electrodes have burnt considerably and are not satisfactory for the mileage run. The gaps have increased from .020" to .035"-.040". Misfires were noticed when the magneto was switched on. With the electric pumps the magneto ignition cannot be used by itself, as there is no current supply for the pumps.

PETROL TANK LOP.H.85553. N.S.3922-3924. R.R.SCH.634. incorporating sealed filler and separate vent.

The sealed filler and separate vent has prevented petrol spilling whilst running.

ENGINE COUPLING LOP.G.80251. N.S.3936.

The fabric coupling has not deteriorated by more than 10%. It is in a very good condition.

UNIVERSAL JOINTS & PROPELLER SHAFT LOP.G.80001. GL.{G. Linnett}702. RR.SCH.473. Incorporating needle bearings in Mechanics joints.

As previously reported the mechanics joints foul when using the minimum and intermediate damping of the hydraulic dampers. With maximum load to the dampers they do not foul. We have, after numerous tests, come to the conclusion that the fouling takes place at fairly high speeds when using the intermediate control load and travelling over rough roads. The road springs whip allowing the axle to turn at the same period as maximum compression and rebound of the road springs takes place. The needle bearings show no signs of wear and are in a good condition.
