| To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} +302 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}9/KW.20.8.35. SpectreCodename for Phantom III Rear Axle; We have discovered from an examination of the drawings of the axle that an oil seal has been used to prevent oil leaks down the half shafts of as large a size as possible. We discovered on the Bentley that the only way to make these work is to use a seal that runs very tight on the shaft. We have ordered half a dozen as per the attached memo., and shall be glad if you can get these on to a car. They should be in the Works to-morrow morning.
