Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Limited,
Derby.

Gentlemen,

For the attention of Mr. West.

As suggested on the telephone by Mr. West, we have now made up one type R.868 plug in which the width of the hexagon on the body has been increased so as to eliminate the round barrel altogether. We have given the experimental number R.942 to this plug.

It is obvious that the strength of the barrel is increased very materially by this alteration, while the increase in weight may we think be considered negligible.

We do not think the appearance is at all objectionable and shall be quite prepared to alter the standard design in this manner if it meets with your approval.

Yours faithfully,
p.p. K.L.G. SPARKING PLUGS LIMITED.
