Gentlemen,

For the attention of Mr. West - Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.2/MA.

In reply to your letter of October 2nd, the alteration to the type 850 to comply with S.M.M. & T. standards would effect no appreciable saving in cost.

We would remind you that this plug is already supplied to you for standardisation at a price which is far below manufacturing cost and you will appreciate that any slight saving in material would only be so very small as to make any alteration impossible.
