August 28th, 1922.

To Members of the Society of Automotive Engineers:

Certain points raised in the discussion of previous Data Sheets have impelled the publication of the enclosed sheets Nos. 119, 120, 121, 122, 123 and 124, which we hope will be of general interest.

The cordial reception accorded to former sheets and the spirit of helpfulness displayed in their discussion has been greatly appreciated. We sincerely request any comments, suggestions or criticisms that may be suggested by these.

Yours very truly,
Engineering Department
American Bronze Corporation

Errata.

While the following errata are so obvious that they have evidently been corrected by the members without being thought worthy of mention, we would especially request that our attention be called to any future mis-prints.

Sheet 109 - Title substitute "Deflection" for "Defection".

Sheet 113 - Conversion Formula - certain mathematical signs were printed very faintly or omitted on some sheets. The formula should read

R.{Sir Henry Royce} P. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} = (v / b) * sqrt(E W / b a)
R.{Sir Henry Royce} P. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} = (v / a) * sqrt(E W / a b)

Sheet 116 - General expression for compression ratio. The exponent of the denominator of the second term should be .17 instead of 1.7.
