difficulty to make it maintain full of oil.

I have a scheme for fitting such a hydraulic damper which I believe can be made to fulfil exactly the conditions we think are required. I will let you know further about this in the course of few days.

(26) Size of Tyres. During these experiments, size of tyres should be considered, and for the rear wheels, I should like you to have Palmers', of a size they recommend for comfort and economy, oversize Dunlops, and the next larger diameter of tyres in all cases, keeping to the smaller diameter of road wheels i.e. 895 mm, which I much prefer for reasons previously given.

(27) X 3729 Bodies. I do not intend these remarks to be entirely confined to 7-CA, but may, where suitable, apply to the other experimental chassis, and, I think, in all cases, the chassis should be if possible fitted with a good and suitable body and upholstery, so that one can judge it correctly. It would probably be expensive, but generally, it is a body that when the cushions are recovered and the painting complete, can be solid with the chassis. In the meantime the chassis can often be used usefully, and criticized by people whose opinion is of value, especially does this apply to the cover body which is to be prepared for Mr. Johnson's criticizm. Some of these wretched old bodies would be put out of friedns with the best of chassis.
