The Sales Dept. have critised this point at various times. The attached report gives particulars of two silencers on which we have tried to reduce the amount of exhaust noise. (A) is identical to the present standard silencer except that the sizes of the holes in the baffles were modified. This affected a definite improvement but when it was tried by Sales, they still complained the noise was objectionable. (B) is very similar to the present silencer except that an extra concentric tube is fitted inside the silencer. The amount of exhaust noise with (B) is less than with (A) silencer. A (B) type silencer has been tried by Sales. So far they have expressed themselves satisfied with it. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
