X.8797 - THICKER ARMATURE COVER PLATE
FOR WATFORD MAGNETOS.

With reference to your Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}2/NJ6.12.26, this thicker
armature cover plate and modified H.T. pick-up are readily
interchangeable on any standard magneto, so that the various
sets of parts which we have had are not on the original
magnetos. Quite early on we received No.87407 with these
parts, but the parts have now been transferred to magneto
No.73972 which is now on expl. chassis 9-EX.

Only No.89479 has still the parts as received;
this is on chassis 44-PK. at present in the Repair Dept.,
though the magneto is due to be returned to us.

The parts from No.89458 are those which have been
handed to Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} for trial on their magnetos.

The parts from No.94225 have been put on No.85253
which is now on the new EAC.7 expl. chassis 14-EX.

The magneto No.94225 has itself been returned to
production and credited to us.

Thus there are in all four sets of parts.

EFC.
