X6079 c. Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.3/AD. January 29th, 1932. X6011 X6079 The Brush Electrical Engineering Co.Ltd. Loughborough. Dear Sirs, We have heard that the bushes for the trolley poles on electric trams and trolley 'buses are of an oilless variety i.e. are self-lubricated. As we are interested in these bearings for parts on our chassis where it is difficult to oil systematically, we wonder if you would be good enough to send us any samples you have of such self-lubricating bearings. If you do not yourselves deal with such bushes perhaps you could inform us where we could obtain some ourselves. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
