BJ. - from Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c.c. BT.{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X.3066 Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}3/N6/10/26. With reference to your memo BJ19/E4/10/26, the procedure is very definite that no alterations to design of the chassis should be effected without standardisation sheets and full authority, and Paris and any other Depot should make no modifications or alterations to the chassis without a standardisation sheet being signed, unless you and R.{Sir Henry Royce} decide otherwise. I think in this instance Ps. has been doing what he thinks good for the car, but according to the procedure set down by CJ., there is a definite ruling and in the interests of the Company it should be definitely carried out by all departments throughout the Company.
