re Chassis Patent Work.

This memo is to confirm our discussion regarding current chassis patenting jobs, and also an earlier discussion of certain features of the SpectreCodename for Phantom III design which we seek to cover.

(1) Construction of SpectreCodename for Phantom III frame shown on LeC.3771 - Preliminary Chassis Arrangement of SpectreCodename for Phantom III - Name for this application - Elliott.

(2) Steering layout shown on same drawing as given in item (1) - Name for this item - Day.

(3) Revised construction of R.R. independent front mounting described in memo E.1/HP17.1.34, Name for this item - Elliott.

(4) Bonnet Stops recently adopted on Phantom, shown on LeC.3659 - Name for this item - Elliott. There are three claims which we think might be made for these bonnet stops, the extensible feature, the disengagement of the hooks and provision for removing bonnet from car.

(5) SpectreCodename for Phantom III balance weights. Means of attaching to crankshaft shown on LeC.3754 - Name for this item - Elliott.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
