Herewith a print showing the big end bearing with the flange deleted.

I think that to get the bearing at the right price some way will have to be found to make the top and bottom halves interchangeable, and at the same time making them in one piece. A simple way would appear to be to broach an oval hole, split the bearing with a saw cut which changes the broach hole from oval to round when the two parts are fastened together again, and then finish off the bearing.

However, I can have a talk to you about this on Saturday.
