Bodys for Left-handed Phantom II Chassis. -------------------------------------- With reference to HslO/MJ.4.3.30 and Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}18/E5.3.30, will Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} please arrange to have the special sub-frames for the two Experimental Chassis put in hand at once, - one frame to be of the straight type and the other of the drop type. The latter is for a 4-Seater Close-Coupled type of body, and the former for a 6/7 Seater Enclosed Limousine, the two extra seats to face forward. As the American Company propose to standardise "E" type steering for all left-handed Phantom II Chassis they expect to purchase from us, we think both these experimental chassis should have "B" type steering. Will BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} please arrange to have sent to Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} drawings of the 2 special sub-frames for these experimental chassis. Can Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} give us an approximate date as to when the two Experimental Chassis are likely to be ready for the bodies to be mounted? This information will be helpful in making our arrangements for the bodies with the Coachbuilders. Whr.{Mr Wheeler} [Signature] | ||
