Referring to EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/4.3.30 I have already asked Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} to conduct a test with Oy, and Arn. on the lines of that which Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} did for Sales some few/years ago on the 20 HP car, first with the sub-frame bolted out of use, and then with it in use, and if as the result they still wish to adhere to the decision not to have sub-frames, then we must carefully test the complete car with the sub-frame cut out of action so as to make sure that the complete car is going to be satisfactory.

Re gap between the scuttle and the dash, there is no objection to our carrying out an experiment on the lines suggested so long as we do not do it on one of the left-handed experimental cars with a view to its introduction on the 200 chassis.

Any of their ideas which we consider good enough to take serious note of and do experimental work as the result must only be with a view to their use on the English chassis as well as on the American.
