20/25 HP. Carburetter (19-G-IV).

Consumption tests carried out with the following parts machined at maximum and minimum limits.

E.59787 Main Jet Sleeve
E.59797 Jet Bush
E.60080 Suction Piston Spindle
Rich limits, marked 'R'
Weak limits marked 'B'.

E.59797 Jet Bush was reamed after pressing into main jet sleeve E.59787 for rich limits; but not reamed after pressing, for weak limits.

Consumption with parts marked 'R' - 14.5 m.p.g./45 mph/71 miles
" " " " 'B' - 15.35 " /45 mph/71 miles

Both tests carried out with the same XC2 standard needle.

Carburation with parts marked 'B' was hopeless at low speeds. This was corrected by fitting an XC3 needle, which gave a final consumption of 15.1 m.p.g./45 m.p.h./71 miles.

This carburetter is now ready for 21-G-IV (France) fitted with parts marked 'B' and an XC3 needle.
