X4260 To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to CJ c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to E.O. E2/G26.5.21. X.4260 - GOSHAWK 11 - REAR ENGINE SUPPORT. X'4360 In reply to your memo BY2/P13.5.21, would you kindly note the following points:- 1. Mr. Royce agrees to the smaller radius in the corner to elmininate the cutting in when facing for the bolts. 2. Mr. Royce agrees to the alteration to the pressing providing it is easier to draw a taper boss externally and internally, than the parallel boss we shew. 3. Mr. Royce would like the flange to be larger in diameter to provide more heel for the bolts. 4. Thin nuts should be used, and less thread on the bolts than shewn on your sketch. 5. It is presumed that the bolts will still be placed as on drawing LeC.1371, and that your sketch only shews them in the position given for illustration. X4360 E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
