steering which we adopt will have to make its first appearance on the Bentley. We should therefore like to try out the full Marles on the Bentley. As this car has horizontal carburetters they will not get in the way of the steering box.

We think that you have enough particulars of the ratio required to recommend a Marles steering for the Bentley. If you will send us a drawing of a standard gear which you think suitable we will see if it will fit into our chassis.

We are very keen on getting the Marles Weller for the Bentley; we are sorry we are rather behind hand with the drop arm.

We have a car going to France in about a fortnights time. If there is a chance of getting the gear before then we might be able to get it fitted.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
