London S.W.1.

Dear Sirs,

Referring to your letter of the 30th.ult. We are afraid we cannot go to the expense of testing the Silencer which your Mr. Strausler left at our Works, unless you can give us further particulars of the results you claim and have proved.

You will understand that we cannot take on development and Experimental work on articles made by outside people.

It will also be necessary for you to send drawings shewing the internal construction of this silencer.

Yours faithfully,
