RE. HALF TIME GEARS. X.4247 (struck through) X4237

We are sending an arrangement so that the fan can be driven from the dynamo drive on the Goshawk.

We cannot say at the moment whether this will prove to be an advantage or otherwise because the crankshaft may miss the damping effect of the fan belt directly upon it, and also the half time gears may not be benefited sufficiently to justify the trouble of making the change.

This matter is urgent as it affects our practice with the "Seagull" engine.
