| To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} X350 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}31/KW.13.12.35. Ph.III Steering. As a result of recent steering tests that we have done on Ph.III we have decided that the reduction of joggling on the Phantom due to the use of 0.700" lead cams instead of 0.800" lead is so small as not to justify the lower geared steering. We therefore do not at present consider that we shall require any further left hand 0.700" lead cams. We 'phoned to the Adamant Engineering Co. yesterday and ascertained that they have not yet cut the three cams and rollers that you ordered recently. Will you please ask them to alter the lead from 0.700" to 0.800". It also follows that we do not at present require any further rockershafts for 0.700" lead left hand cams.
